50 Years at Lake Mac
Every year, on the Fourth of July, Trevor’s family has the tradition of packing up all of the boats, campers, and toys and heading out to Ogallala, Nebraska for a lake trip. This year, it was extra special, because it was the 50th consecutive year that Trevor’s dad, Papa D, had gone and celebrated the holiday at Lake Mac. It was Jack’s first lake trip, and, to really top it off, my niece attended at only eight days old, setting the record for youngest baby during our holiday tradition.
For our little family, it felt so good to pack our (unfinished, but finished enough) van, visit the newest baby, and make our way as a family of three to Nebraska. Jack was an instant water baby and loved it so much that he rarely stopped to take naps. This year was such a relaxing contrast in comparison to the year prior, because I was waddling around not knowing that my water would pop a week after our vacation. Trevor, Jack, and I got to play all day in the sand and water and enjoy watching all the family around us.
Below are the many photos I took during this memorable trip! We hope you enjoy.
From our little family to yours, happy summer!
