Lake McConaughy 2018

My husband's father has been heading to Lake McConaughy in Nebraska for the Fourth of July for most of his life, and my husband has never missed a year himself. Because I come from a family that does not have a lot of long-term traditions, I am so excited to be pregnant and having a fifth generation of Monks to continue celebrating this holiday at the lake. 

This year, I waddled around with swollen ankles and legs, and relaxed and documented the family "fun-ness" that surrounded me. The best thing about being five weeks out from my due date at this time is that I got to imagine what next year would be like with my own little one, who will be a month shy of being a year old.
