Ecuador & Colombia PhotoJournal
As our South American portion of our trip rounded its last corner, Ecuador and Colombia were whirlwinds of sights and feelings.
Ecuador was a small cultural relief for us. With well kept roads and being able to use our own currency, we found ourselves taking moments to just breath and enjoy the ride. We ate all kind of sugary sweets; swam in cascading rivers; and swung high above the city of Banos. Quito had the most beautiful Spanish Church that we have yet to experience, and we even spent an afternoon practicing our Spanish and drinking coffee with local students.
Colombia was our last country of our South American tour, and we were determined to drink plenty of coffee and layout at the beach. We got to tour coffee plantations; camp out amongst the tallest palm trees on earth; nibble on coconut at the beach; and get lost in the colorful Old City of Cartagena.
We hope you enjoy our photo story below!
